Good evening, my name is Emmanuel Ramos arrived in Portugal a year ago, in my country was an electrician by profession and I moved to the United Kingdom, Bournemouth to make a new life. I am certified in my profession, Alarm Installation, CCTV, Satellite and Aerial but are not recognized here.
What can I do to recognize me as an electrician in the UK?

Ramos you say uo arrived in Portugal and have been living there for a year and you are a qualified electricianbut from what country do you come from and are qualified to ???

Generally, in the UK, ELECTRICIANS have qualifications that are to do with the fixed wiring in houses and industrial premises.

That means the power wiring, socket outlets, lighting, and so on.

The skills that you may have in "Alarm Systems Installation, CCTV, Satellite and Aerial" are not the same as those needed for dealing with 230volt AC installations.

You may find more specific advice on a UK forum that specialises in Alarm Systems Installation, CCTV, Satellite and Aerial systems. Have a Google around.

And just to expand on this an electrician can work in the following fields

1. Domestic
2. Industrial Commercial
3. Mining
4. High Voltage
5. HVAC/BMS Controls

It really depends on how you trained up so some guys have trained and done domestics all their days and have never worked with 3 phase supplies and equipment . Also Intruder / Fire alarms & CCTV can be done by an electrician but there are guys who have specifically trained in this field that fine but they cannot do elctrical work so where do you fit in are you an electrician that can do alarms CCTV .

The definitions are better left for another day and discussion

As you're in England, are you aware of part p of the building regulations Emannuel? It may not have much relevance to what you do but you should be aware of it mate.
Welcome aboard by the way:)

Thanks buddy, I'm currently looking for Job in my area, already searched Jobcenter, sent CVs, etc.. but without success. Does anybody here know any job in Forum Job or someone who wants to bet me? Because I'm frustrated to be doing something so basic and my brain is getting asleep derived the lack of mental exercise that was used.
Tanks a lot.
