Evening all - does anyone know if there is a regulation specifically requiring a distribution board to have something on it showing it's source - ie. where the submain that is supplying it is fed from? I'm testing a large school with 80+ boards, and not many show source.
And, a totally seperate question, what do people think of running a circuit (in this case a pump) through the enclosure of a heating panel. fed from a totally seperate circuit?
Thanks
Andy

1, would probably be your recomendation to install signage in remedial works after testing etc

2, suppose it depends if the pump is anything to do with the heating even though on different circuit

Re the pump, you would have to make sure that (if it is single phase) the phase on the pump and the phase on the boiler are the same phase, or you will have a potential 415 v shock voltage inside what looks like a 240v unit.

re the pump the wiring should go dead when the other wiring does or there should be a warning label stating 2 different supplies exist within this enclosure.
