Hi all, so my in ground patio lights keep tripping the RCD. I checked them over and found dampness in most of the buried underground three way junction boxes. On inspection I have found this is not the only issue. There are 10No. Lights in total and although when the fittings themselves are opened up they look pretty dry, I have found that the manufacturers flex is giving low readings between core approx 0.04m ohms. This results in each light having an earth leakage of about 7 milli amps. So times 10 = 70ma trips 30ma RCD. I find it strange the flex that came with the light is giving low IR readings but that’s certainly the case. Can anyone recommend a better short piece of waterproof flex and what’s the best 3 way underground junction boxes out there.
Thanks in advance

pond flex for one. gel filled wiska boxes for two.

Rubber flex in plastic kopex conduit properly glanded and all joints gel / resin filled

i personally rarely get involved with buried lighting these days as 99.99% of the times no matter how hard one ties water gets in and bangs out the house rcd
