Hi guys. Fitting some really cheap stuff in a woman’s 3 storey house. The intermediate switch she’s provided me has L1 & L2 at the top, and L1 & L2 at the bottom, every time I’ve done any intermediate switches they’ve been L1 & L1 at the top, L2 & L2 at the bottom. Sorry for my amateur sounding question but should I be fitting my black and grey strappers coming up from ground floor in to L1 & L1, then my black and grey strappers going up to floor 2 in to L2 & L2?

like I said folks, excuse the amateur question

cheers

Do you have a multi-meter or continuity tester? Personally I'd just double check that with the switch in one position the top and bottom terminals each side are connected and in the other position that they cross over.
So wire it so in one position black is connected to black and grey is connected to grey
and in the other position they are crossed over. Hope that makes sense.
