Evening chaps. Got interview coming up for street lighting electrician with the council. Just wondering if anyone has any idea what kinda questions they might ask. If its more a competency based interview or more technical? Ive heard equality and diversity is something that may come up. I dont have much experience with street lighting. Hopefully some of you can help. Thanks

Do some research and get to know the basics but I'd expect the interview to be more involved with working at heights and the safety aspect of things you'd be quizzed on. Have you got a NRSWA qualification at all?

It always good idea to find a bit about the actual company, as opposed to the job itself. You can do this by a bit of research, or by actually emailing them to get some background, CEO & organisational structure etc, numbers of staff, areas covered etc. So when they say 'Tells what you know about us', you can give them a concise answer. They will probable ask you what you think the job entails. Unless they've advertised for qualified street lighting engineers, there will be few technical questions about the role itself.
