I haven't received part of my order from superlec. Its been 3 months. Lots of phone calls, lots of promises, nothing happens.
Just wondering if the forum sponsor is still around? I can't seem to find them.

Been using electrical to go for a few things at home where leadtime is not important
been pleased with them so far.

Superlec's customer service isn't great. Chasing up an order, I found all emails I sent got ignored, and if I phoned and they said they would phone back it never happened. The item did arrive eventually, a couple of weeks later, completely unannounced, after I'd instructed them to cancel the order. They are cheap, but too much trouble to deal with if there are problems.

Thats enough to never want to ever use them !

I've never had any issues with Superlec, Electrical2go however advise things as in stock and 2-3 day delivery, most orders take 1-2weeks if you order anything that isn't extremely common as they must not hold much stock both are very cheap though.

I’m the same as Lewis, Electrical2go were awful on both occasions I tried to use them. Customer service was non existent and delivery times were outright lies. Have heard similar stories from numerous others also.

I think I only used Superlec once and they were fine, but hardly a meaningful test. I think I have had minor issues with most suppliers over the years, but it is far easier to deal with mistakes with one of the local wholesale places like Holland House.

What is it with Superlec delivery, I used them quite a few times now and a couple of years ago everything turned up the next day or if not it was first thing the following morning.

Just lately though you just don't know when you are going to get your order, it could be a few days, a week, 2 weeks, who knows. The pricing is right, the stock is right, the free delivery is excellent but all of that is no good if the stuff doesn't turn up when you need it.

Edwards on the other hand get everything out the same day. I can order something at 10AM and by 2PM I'm getting emails from DPD saying they have the package. Why cant Superlec.

Probably because they are cheap. They keep costs down by having a poor staff infrastructure I expect.

I've bought a few things from then since my OP. I've had one more bad experience. I tend to go elsewhere now, but their prices still entice you every now and then.

I'm not saying there is a problem you just have to be organised. If I needed a mains unit tomrrow I know that I could order with edwards and it would be there. If I needed some stuff in the next 3 or 4 days I couldn't risk ordering with superlec as ther eis a good chance it wont turn up in time.

If I know what I need in a week or two then superlec is fine.
