Good morning all,

I was just wondering if any of you have a general rule of thumb for floodlighting?

I have an area of about 30x30 ft to illuminate which I'm planning on doing with 2x 30w LEDs, I'm sure these will be more than adequate for this particular job but was just wondering if there is a simple way to guestimate for larger areas? Or smaller for that matter....

Cheers, Chris

Your wholesalers will have a lighting rep that will come and take the guess work out of it. I'm sure they might be a bit ****ed just looking at 60ft sq but that can be done over the phone.

On the very few occasions I have been involved in lighting I always get the rep to do the schedule as it's FOC.

Generally if you can be seen in the middle of the night pouring paint stripper over the bloke who owes you moneys car, the floodlights are too bright.
