Litttle Shonet

Just changed an FCU, and terminals are in different places, therefore a bit tight for some wires.

Just wondering what length of cable you all leave in back boxes for such eventuallities!

Cheers

i leave as much as i can and still get the faceplate on. ( within reason )

I have a friend who does hairdressing at her home.
She had some double socket-outlets installed in her room she uses as a Salon.
One of the socket-outlets was upside down, because the conductors were too short.
A through crimp and a couple of inches of conductor and it was sorted.

leave one of the CPCs long......then snip a length of G/Y sleeving to go to the pole on the knockout box.....double the CPC over...so its continuous and terminate into the knockout box.....re-sleeve.....then into the back of the socket/FCU with it.......
