Day 80. Return to one a day….
Set 8041. Racing truck

I got this cheap. So unless I can source the big sticker sheet for it, and a few missing part, it’ll become just spare parts.

Day 83
Set 8071. Cherry picker.
A strange one this… it looks as though it was designed a decade earlier but came out the same year (2011) as much better designed vehicles.
Steering from the back and the lift/turn controls are on either side.

Day 84
Set 9395. Tow truck

Wheel lift lowers, and there’s a string as a winch cable. Both operated via lever in passenger side of cab.
Added the electric motor to this, as per instructions, but it sticks out the back. Could have designed that a bit better to hide it.
Opening cab doors, steering and piston movement.

I used to like all the tractors… but I’m not so keen now……

You could say I’m an ex-tract…….

No…. I’m not going to say it!

Day 87
Set 42006. Tracked excavator with grabs.

New system of numbering introduced, and many 8xxx sets rereleased with 42xxx numbers.

Motorised version lifts the arm, bends the elbow and closes the grabbers. Extra pin added to prevent turntable from complete 360 degree turn and twisting up the electric cables.

Small set, with big pieces. Handy just for spare parts. Front and rear suspension and 4 wheel steering.
Front and rear are identical builds.

Day 92 1/2

Back in July, I posted the Fast and Furious Dom’s Charger set… day 39 I think.

last week, I pulled it down and built another classic vehicle from tv/films (instructions sourced online)

not keen on the engine sticking up, but there’s not enough parts left over to cover the hole.
