i'd like to restore that. would look brill on the mantlepiece, but 'er indoors ain't got no class. all bloody figurswines and flowers. can't stop sneezing for the buggers.

I've never understood why people bid with so many days to go. It gives other people loads of time to bid against you. I always leave it to the last 5 seconds and shove in the maximum I want to spend. Others don't have time to bid against me then.

I’m testing the water, @Moley
I’ll leave it on my watch list, and see if it goes up. I have a limit, so it doesn’t matter if I bid now, or 5 minutes before it ends.... I won’t be going any higher.

I sometimes put a low bid in early on things. Then if I forget to bid later on, I still have a chance.

What about this one? Details say they don’t know if it works.... simple to test, plug in leads and hold on while someone

Or this?

You could enjoy restoring it and then send it to a good home for retired electric equipment aka LN's electrokinetica museum.

I had dark reddish brown bakelite one of those which I picked up for £7 a couple of years ago. Was going to keep it but I put it on Ebay when I had a tidy out. Got £20 for it so happy with that though.

It was very heavy.
