I thought those wire measurements posted were Standard Wire Gauge sizes.Hoping that old cables were measured in fractions of an inch and pretty sure I remember a discussion about wooden casing.

Every three weeks I get to hang around the Royal Free Hospital between blood tests, physical exam, scans etc that take a few hours of separate appointments.
