Hi All, im new to the forum, ive often browsed various threads with great interest...

I know there's been a fair bit said on this subject so sorry for bringing it up again,
im in the process of a timber frame new build ( 2 bed, 1 study/poss bed 3 )
When working out the maximum demand as p96/7 in the OSG its putting me
over 100a, we all know its never going to get close to that so what what can
i do about it ???
circuits are
2 x 6A lts
1 x 6A smokes
3 x 32A rings ( up/dwn/kit )
1 x 32A hob ( 6.6 Kw ) no gas in the village
1 x 32A oven ( 4.4 Kw ) '' '' ''
1 X 16A for imm ( only 13A )
1 x Air source oil heating system elec supply unknown

so not including the air source heating & the smokes im getting 112.82 Amps,
how can i get around this, all views are welcome....

With the press for greater segregation between circuits in houses (i.e. install more) this issue isn't going to go away.

A house as outlined won't be drawing much more than 60A max so don't be too concerned about it.

NB: Put your smokes on a lighting circuit.

the hob and oven should be added together and the diversity worked out as a demestic cooker. you wont need more than 100amps. And you wont get it off supplier. so 18kw will have to do

You'll rarely see more than around 45 to 50A on that installation, the same as most 2 to 3 bedroom properties....

Why you are providing 2X 32A circuits for the cooking loads i haven't a clue!! One 6mm circuit with a 32A protective device will cater for upto 15 KW of cooking load before diversity.... And as suggested put your smokes on a lighting circuit if your that worried about Max Demand, personally i wouldn't sweat it!! lol!!

ifd you're really concerned, fit a gas hob. no way will that go BANG> it will go BOOM.
