Hi guys. Just looking at how people work out their max demand for supplies to consumer units. Looking at a board change with 7 circuits and going by osg working out to be over 80a I have heard of the 40% rule of total load but was wondering if any others have a different method. I cant see an average house pulling more than 55a really but just looking at others views.
Cheers

Have a look at the homeowners and their lifestyle, a little old lady will use nowhere near as much as a family of six with all the gadgets you can think of.

Try not to think about the max demand over a period of a day but around one hour when people have finished work and arrive home. So cooker on cycling through heating stages, possibly a shower running, kettle on etc. Kids turning on TV's etc.
