Been having a look at multi function testers, mainly the fluke and meggers.I have used only Alphatec and metrel since all my test gear has been provided by the company.Wondering what the opinions of everyone else is,Whats the easiest to use, value for money, reliable.Cant really afford to lay out a bag of sand for one, thinking more along the lines of 500-700 max. What does everyone recomend?

And I third it. Used one for the last 6 years and they've never done me wrong. Unfortunately I cannot say the same for Flukes, which have done me wrong many times, once for my annual QS assessment!!

Megger all the way, :)

Fluke 1653b has been reliable for me and I find iteasy to use, you can barter with most suppliers and get it within your price range
