Hi everyone

I’m fully qualified as an electrician with jib gold card and 2391 etc.
I am wondering what the next step to take in terms of qualifications.
The only thing I don’t currently have is the 2396 design which I’m not too keen on getting as I’ve seen no opportunity’s requiring this course.
I am looking to possibly do a HNC
The only problem I have is that I can’t find any college/university near me (Tamworth) that provides a HNC in Building services engineering, and I have found none in the uk which provide distance learning.
I’ve heard that the natural route for an electrician is BSE rather than EE, is this correct?
I have no plans to currently leave the tools but I’d rather get as many qualifications as I can while I’m fresh and my mathematics are hot.

Any help would be much appreciated.

TL;DR
Approved electrician, looking for next worthwhile qualification. HNC?

Is that ban Approved Electrician with the appropriate C&G qual or an Approved Contractor?
