Hi, looking for advice from trade, as a customer. Electrician (MCS certified) has come 2nd December and wired in two home batteries and inverter (supplied by me) but currently the final connections are left off as it needs G99 approval before switch on. He said should be approved and done before Christmas but I've had no response from him since then, despite leaving a couple of voice and text messages (roughly one per week, apart from over Christmas week, as didn't want to disturb him then). I haven't paid anything yet so not out of pocket, don't mind waiting and really would like him to do the job but am getting concerned with the radio silence on his end. How would you proceed / expect your customer to proceed in this scenario?

I think if I was the customer, I would give the contractor an ultimatum to respond within a set time and if no response, seek someone else to complete the works.

It is possible something has happened to them hence the lack of response. Prior to this had they been reliable.

Could be, I'm keeping an open mind, although he wasn't exactly reliable to begin with, he missed the first install date without calling and then I had to chase up a few times to rearrange. When he was here doing the work, I did notice his phone was ringing every 30 seconds, so I think it's more likely he's just buried under work and I'm not that important (better to let down the small fry etc). I'll keep chasing and will post back the outcome, thanks everyone.
