Hi guys, came across a bit of a strange starter today on some control gear for a 400w metal halide light fitting. It had an OSRAM ste 501 v9 starter in it, identical to what you might find inside your switch start 2d's and battern type fittings. Never seen a starter in anything like this before in a 400w fitting. I can't see to find them for sale anywhere and wondered if anyone could shed any light on whether they're still available and what the alternatives are. I was hoping not to have to swap the whole control gear when I only need a starter!

I didn't get as far as taking the thing to pieces so I'm not certain how it's wired in but I assume there must still be an igniter inside? Puzzled... but hopefully somebody will have come across this before!!
