Hay guys and gals, doing my first park home CU change. I cannot find a copy of an installation cert for a portable dwelling can anyone point me in the correct direction please.
And a quick question.
the customer said the last electrician has quoted to install a Double Earthing for the oil roads in the caravan? WTF is he talking about?!
Thanks in advance

Bump anyone got any certs copy or any links please.
Googles to no avail or it will be iee regs and trip down post office...
Thanks

Is 'oil roads' some sort of auto correct?

Standard installation certificate is fine in my opinion.

James it does state on the standard certificate its only suitable for a domestic dwelling. would you class a caravan as this?

I don't think the model EIC form says that does it? Section C asks you to tick residential/commercial/industrial. Which forms are you using?

i just looked up the IET it states a domestic dwelling or similar up to 100A.
So that would say that its sutible. Would you take IET as gospal. im using easy cert but an older version maybe things have changed over the years.?
Thanks for mentioning this and i can use a copy of the IET certificate on this occasion.

The EIC covers a multitude of installations, the suggested version in BS7671 to my memory makes no reference to what you are saying.

As far as I can see, only the EICR inspection schedule says this. It continues:
NOTE: This form is suitable for many types of smaller installation, not exclusively residential.

In any case, it's irrelevant, as it's an EIC you'll be filling in, not an EICR
