Is this right? Calculating max demand for new CU Ktc Lights 66% 1.51A Front Room Lights .41A Upstairs Lights 2.11A Kitchen Sockets 100% 32A Living Room Sockets 40% 12.8A Upstairs Sockets 40% 12.8A Oven Radiel (2.5mm on a 16Amp breaker) 100% @ 10A Cooker Radiel 24.16 Calculated from 5800W rating - 10A and then 30% of 14.16A + 5A For Socket 19.25A Boiler Radiel (2.5mm on a 16Amp Breaker) 40% of 16A = 6.41 Totals upto 97.29A Does this look right or am i totally off the ball here lol Cheers

Lighting - 66% of total current demand for each circuit
Power - 100% of the first ring circuit + 40% of all other circuits
Cooker - 10A + 30% of remaing rated current + 5% if the CCU has a socket outlet
Shower - No diversity allowable
Instantaneous water heater - 100% of largest heater + 100% of second largest + 25% of of any others
Thermostatically controlled water heater - No diversity allowable
Underfloor heating - No diversity allowable

Hope that covers it for you

Chris

You seem to have seperated everything ie kitchen lights then room lights if they are on different circuits fair enough diversity is worked out per circuit so if all your downstairs lights are on one circuit then apply the calculations as per my previous post for each circuit.

Chris

Yup, There on seperate circuits mate as the kitchen has 11 50W downlighters.

Does 97A seem high even tho i have allowed for diversity? If i added an electric shower later on it would be well over 100A's and the main fuse if only 100A's etc

Would the 97A be the figure that needs recording or would 100A be the figure?

thanks for your help

Check your main fuse and see if its 80A or 100A you might need to upgrade. But then you also have to take into account how often will you have every light in the house turned on and every appliance pulling maximum amps. I would suggest never.
