Hi the details below are for a two bedroom flat:

- Upgrade of x2 consumer unit (economy 7 & standard supply) - Replacement of x1 extractor fan in bathroom - Replacement of pull cord heater in bathroom - Replacement of bathroom light fitting 6w LED 2056-2283 - Investigation and correction of high r 'n' reading on the socket circuit - Upgrade of CPC sleeving

total price is 570 pounds.

Do you think it is a reasonable quote?

thanks

I'm guessing that as 'Upgrade of CPC sleeving' is included this is in response to an EICR. Is it your home or are you a landlord and it's a rental you own?

With regards to the price, I think a little more information is required, specifically about how many circuits are in each CU, how old the installation is (what consumer units are present already)?

If this is remedial works from an EICR I for one would very much like to see the EICR. If it is and you choose to post it, please make sure any personally identifiable information is redacted.

Sounds cheap but,

how many circuits per board, how many RCBOs?

How long are you expecting the job to take?

What are your anticipated material costs?

Travel/parking...etc.

Without the above it would be a completely useless guess.

But don't let that stop me, £845.

x 2 consumer units one for day and one for night
4 switches in each.
one bedroom flat

i can post the pir but it is a pdf. what is the best way to post it?

If you can edit images, you could take screen shots of the document and black out personally identifiable information. You could print it, and redact things with a marker, take photos and upload the photos.

You could spend that, investigating and repairing the ring fault and sleaving issues alone.

I can never understand if people aren’t confident pricing jobs properly then just go with a rate , be it £45 per hour or £400 a day (proper 9 hour day) + materials.
if the job takes you 2 long days you trouser £800

you might get those rates down in surrey, up here half that usually gets you shown the way out.
