Looking for a good rechargeable work light that will be good for when changing DBs in dark cupboards and the like!

anyone got any suggestions?

I second High Tower, great bit of kit if you use makita. If you don't, try to get a light that can use your cordless gear's batteries.

Petzl Head torch. Always points in the right direction and doesn't cast shadows like a work light. Plus the batteries last for even on low setting which is all I normally use.

i generally just fumble around in the dark. chance is i'll get a few cables in the right holes-- enough to get some light-- then with some power on, fix all the wrong ones. :gunsmilie:

got the deawlt 110v light charger thing, handy when theres no 240 for charging as well

and if you get them in the wrong holes then they will light up all on their own

Last cu change I did was in a dingy under stairs jobby, and was dark down there so I used an emergency light that I was throwing in with the change as if the board tripped in the future on the downstairs lighting they could see what they were doing down there....I put it on a plug the night before to charge it up for the change.

I've got a LED work light that runs off internal batteries for a few hours. Cost about £20.00

Which model do you recommend? I'm on the look out for a new one that will also fit round my hard hat if needed

Thanks

I use a Petzl Tikka. Simple 2 brightness LED with two brightness settings which I always use on low as I don't find I need a bright light for the stuff I do (domestic). I am not sure if it would fit a hard hat and if you use one of those I guess you are working on building sites or industrial so you might want a more powerful one?
