I have an old Flatley dryer. Just cleaned up the elements and a new flex good as new. Would not be without it. Can't buy them now but we have been using this for 25 years to dry clothes can't beat it.

From an era when things were built to :-
a) last .
b) be serviced .
c) ( not reliant on some server on the internet -for Special features / Basic functionality )
... I was going to repair my similarly aged dish washer ..
(until I moved it and found some of its structure had rotted through !)
Keeping mobile phones repairable sounds good ..
(so long as they are not catching fire in your pocket)
 
Just to update you all, my pal bought me a new Hohner Marine Band deluxe, and I am a very happy hippy!
it's the small but kind thoughts that keep us going...
I was so pleased i bought myself a new Leatherman Wave as an early Christmas present, and after that, socks will be fine!
