There's a picture of my grandson as my avatar mate. Can you tell from that what his name is?
You're asking us to speculate in the same way. I think if you look really hard you might find those seal fairies mentioned ealier have been.

I dunno the lad's full name, but pretty sure the first part is wor.

Not sure how BG the supplier would know what size fuse is fitted as it is the DNO's equipment and they wouldn't be able to tell you the fuse size.

Hi Dave,
Ye a large enough load to make me ask the question- electric shower etc etc. Chance if there is enough going on in the house and people in outbuilding are drawing quite a bit then there could be trouble.
I was very surprised that the supplier confidently told her that it is a 100A. But if that is what they said then it is what we have got to go on. They are coming to isolate the power in a couple of weeks to change the metering so we will see then. I will reply to this post to let you know what the fuse was in the end.

Thanks,

Chris.

Have you ever actually measured the load on a domestic property, I mean properly with a data logging meter for a week or more. You'll be surprised how wrong you are about the load getting anywhere near causing a 60A BS88 to operate!

^ Data logger could show 33 minute intervals @100A,with that 60A in...maybe more if Cut-out in a draughty spot...:icon12:

The chances of seeing 60A on a typical 3 bed dometic installation for 33 minutes would be remote, let alone 100A!! lol!!

Virtually every response from mine is one of stupidity and contradiction, I've given up on talking to him most of the time.

Oh, and everything is rubbish unless he has it, or one of his mates has said that it's good.

hmm your right it sounds like the same guy.

he is an idiot and i do avoid talking to him

So how long have your step dads been around lads?
If it's been a good while you might find, if you think back, that this miserable old wnkr has done more for you than you might think.
Obviously there's a chance that they might actually be miserable old wnkrs but you never know.
One of my mates has step kids and I overheard one of them bitching about him once to his mates. So I embarrased the ungrateful little barstool by telling him, in front of his mates, about some of the things he did for him. Like taking him to A&E at 2AM and staying with him when he was really ill, like when he had a problem at school and the miserable old wnkr took a day off work to resolve it. Like when one of the neighbour's kids was picking on him and he stopped it.
All things that a real dad has to do I know but sometimes I think step parents get a bad deal

Always found that to be the problem with stepdads, never gonna have the father son relationship into adulthood if you're completely different people.

He's good as gold in general and as a person and has done a huge amount more for me than my real dad. We just don't get on when we sit and talk, and he has far too many issues niggling away at him from when he was growing up.

It's infuriating to talk to him as he either contradicts what you're saying, thinks that you're wrong or lying, or come out with such stupid things that it's clear he has no idea what he's talking about. He's a nightmare.
