Shed power query

Running power out to a shed this weekend, not done many of these jobs. Would you normally fit a small consumer unit within the shed or would you wire a 20a radial and wire the lights off a fcu with a 3A fuse protecting lighting cables? Think it’s only a few sockets and a couple of outside lights nothing major

Either is fine.
Think I would just use an found for the light.

For a small shed the S/FCU route as will help keep price down too.

A “shed” could mean anything from a 6’x 4’ timber thing from B&Q up to a log cabin, steel framed agricultural building or warehouse.

But the mention of an FCU for the lights suggests the former.

Yeah it’s just a small thing. Not going to be hot tubs or anything like that running off it, literally a few sockets and a couple of spotlights outside
