Working on a hose over the last couple of days which had the lighting wored in singles on the ground floor with line through the switches, and T+E as switch wires from loop in upstairs. Anyway, whilst sleeving them up when replacing the fittings I was pondering how others do it. It's all in 'old' black and red, so on the upstairs T+E I sleeved both the red and the black with brown sleeving. Sleeving the black with brown and leaving the red looks odd and could be confusing IMHO.

Just to add that nothing was sleeved to start with, there wasn't even any sleeving on the CPCs.

I sleeve to the appropriate colours - if it's old colours it gets sleeved old colours - you can still get red sleeving so it makes sense

If you have introduced new colour code onto the job then its ok to sleeve both brown as long as you corrospond by sleeving the lighting point the same, you will have fitted a duel colour code sticker, if you are just altering then red sleeve will do, light and sw.

Good point, I should have mentioned it's a CU change with a couple of new circuits and some alterations/spurs. So there are a few runs of cable in new colours, along with appropriate labels etc.
