Builder customer of mine has asked me to put 2 cold tv ' s on the wall , there are about 4 or 5 of them in an office where they share a hard drive.

They want to use a timetable programme, where they can all access and change things (dates/times etc.) , they want this to be displayed on across 2 screens (split screens ...like many pc terminals have) , so they can display it on the wall in the office at all times

Can this be done and if so how , checked the main hard drive and it has one hdmi port Un used and several Un used usb ports

Any help , ideas much appreciated

Thanks

Run it through a pc with split screen software running. Just like when you plug your laptop into a VGA and share the screens

Hi max thanks for your response ,

update : the client has changed there mind now , what they want to achieve is a 2/3 screen video wall that is displaying the data from an excel spreadsheet at someone's desktop ? Bearing in mind the person at that desktop needs to be able to work on other applications with the spreadsheet still displayed on the video wall

do you think this is achievable , if so how ?

Many thanks

what tv's are they?

i know i can do it on my tv (i use it as an alarm, its louder and better than any alarm i have ever owned)

usually you can select turn-on time and from what source

and power-off time both on a schedule say mon-fri

(only works with smart tv's by the way but there cheap now so)

You can get three or more way video out cards, you just need to look for them.
the hardware is the easy bit, getting the software set up is harder.

windows is terrible for dodgy drivers. i have lost count of the amount of times i have had to rebuild mbr/replace files from backups after

A Windows Update!!!

They normally won't produce a matrixed output, just simultaneous display.

rocket is right a lot just mirror the same image over all the outputs, thats why i mentioned eyefinity as that is nvidias tech for it

My PC has 2 graphics cards in tandem with 2 outputs on each and can run 4 screens as a matrix, I've only ever done it across 2 screens on it though.
They're Nvidia cards and software but a few years old now

I wouldn't trust it for any professional purpose though. All it really does is just stretch the image out over the screens, it plays hell with the resolution/image quality.

The IT department at work got one for me years ago so I could work on PLC programs. One showing the program the other the allocation listing. I can’t say I took any notice of the make.
