Small garden shed needs supply for x2 socket and a lights.

Client does not want anything fancy like a fuse board due to light usage of garden lawn mowers

Socket will only be used for lawn mowers.

The supply will be taken from the existing ground floor ring, the SWA from the house to the shed will be clipped to the garden solid wall, length of run 10 meters.

My question is would I need to put the fused spur at our point the circuit leaves the ring (rear house) or could I put the fused spur in the shed?

I will then use a 6a fused spur for the lights respectively

I have read it yes, but his question regards larger usage, if I were this person is would run a new 32a circuit with RCD protection

So your customer is happy with having 13A max?

OK, what does Appendix 15 (page 505 of BBB) tell you to do?

Not getting as you mate...
