Hi,I want to install a twin socket to a shed. The shed is of wooden construction and approximately 6m from the garage.I can't go underground due to a tarmac drive,so will have to go overhead.
If i install a catenary wire between shed/garage,can i then use twin and earth between the socket in the garage(pick up)and run this across to the shed to feed an RCD socket.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

T&E isn't suitable for outdoor use, you'll want to use Steel Wire Armoured (with catenary). What are the sockets going to be powering out of interested?

Thanks for reply. It was only to supply a bench light,no heating. In order to run an armoured cable,i'd need to change the garage socket to a metal one?

You ought to be using a metal-clad socket in the garage anyway.

What about Hi-Tuf? If there is a reason not to use I would be glad to know.

Can’t see a problem with that, flexible and lightweight enough to hang from catenary wire, good uv resistance.
I would have thought it was the best solution in this case.
