Hi Everyone!

Literally just got into the trade and been trying to learn as much as I can. Lately I've been curious about Tap-off boxes and how they're wired + what is exactly inside them. I've done a fair amount of googling but the best I can find are retailer's pictures that don't bother to go into deeper detail.

keen to learn anything and up for more reading!

Thanks guys

Welcome to the forum.
Hope you manage to learn lots from the forum.

A tap off box in essence is just a branch junction box.
OK the supplying "circuit" is a busbar system and there maybe a wide variety of protective and or monitoring devices in the box depending on the requirements and the box is normally designed with a safe connection system so that it could be connected to a live system, but it is just a means of power distribution in the end.
