Tapping into Car Wiring

I am in need of a weather proof way of tapping into live and earth wires in my car to add another cable (i did start a thread yesterday but it seems to have disappeared) any options welcome

Lock connecters? when you say weather proof, are the cables outside or in the engine bay?

Soldered connection covered with adhesive-lined heatshrink sleeving. This will last many many years. Scotch-locks are OK if you want a nice quick job that may last years or may not. Daz.
