Hi there
Am studying 2330 level 3 and have come accross a formula I cant get my head round in my workbook. It shows the formula to calculate the difference in resistance with temperature change.

R1/R2 = (1 + alpha t1)/(1 + alpha t2)
The worked example shows a field winding of a dc motor with a resistance of 100ohms at 0deg and I have to determine the resistance of the coil at 20deg if the temperature coefficent is 0.004ohms/ohmsdeg.
My confussion is where do you find the value of ohmsdeg. I hope this makes sence to someone as its doing my head in. Any advice greatly received am sure its very simple and I must look like an idiot.

cheers Grant
