On the m.i.c.c cable the 3 phase from the board the resistance between each phase is about 88 mega ohms so think ill get marked dorwn for that also the in the board the conducters are about an inch short of the breaker

the only thing im pleased with is the conduit oh well got another 2 days of it but cant see me passing becuase of the m.i cable

If everything else is the nuts you just get through but you'll have to ware a sticker stating not pyro compatable

Dont worry mate.

Even if they do fail you on the MI, all you'll have to do is do the MI part again, dont throw the towel in on the rest of it as it ALL still counts.

Head on now and keep going.

All the best.:)

cheers guys just looked in the regs on table 61 if the ir value is greater than 1 Mohm then its an acceptable value so if the value is 88 Mohms then its an acceptable reading am i right or is there a different reg regarding M.I

Yes the minimum acceptable value is 1 Mohm, but on a piece of cable that long and as it's your test they'll be looking for >200 or >999 depending on which tester you're using.

They did on mine anyway, but there again my assessor was a complete............

my training officer told me, that i didnt even have to connect the m i in to pass, most of the marks apparently come from how neat the cable is, if everything else is spot on u should be orite
