Thanks all. I've altered the TV system to suit so that I get bt /sky signals too all TV,s. in house. Lounge TV will be wall mounted, so I've installed behind TV 13a socket and 1 x TV point from loft. The BT / SKY box etc will be sited almost below the Wall mounted TV.
I've run 2 x coax cables down to BT /SKY (1 in - 1 out) hopefully will fit 1 gang skt box. At this point would it be worth running any additional coax cable to loft from lounge position.
If installing CAT5 cable for possible future use, would they be run to wherever the hub /router be sited? I can't think why, but would any be required in the loft place? hope all makes sense, been a long day , knackered!

You will need to run 1 cable from where the router is planned to be, to the point where you plan to put the switch. Then all the cables from here to the desired points across the house. Don't forget a 2G socket where the switch needs to be.

Are you wanting to distribute the satellite cables aswell? If you don't sky will only come along and clip a cable all round the house and drill through the wall into lounge. I prefer to use the loft box to do it all, that way sky only need to mount dish and connect up to the cables you have already installed.
