Unable to “un” respond to a thread. One for @dan.

Was going to respond to a thread, decided not to, but unable to delete or remove the reply text box.
What am I missing?

deleted cookies etc.

If you can reply to a particular thread, the reply editor will always be there.

Periodically it will save the text you are entering as a draft, just in case you lose your connection/want to have a think about the reply.

You can delete the draft text using this menu....

That deletes the text I’ve written but the OP text is still there even if I leave the thread and come back to it.

Then all I can suggest is that you click in the edit box, press CTRL+A to select everything and then press DELETE to delete it. Not sure how that will affect the draft. I've not seen this sort of thing before, so yes it may be something for @Dan to look into.

Another way is to just delete the text in the quote box.
Once all the words have gone the box disappears.

If you only want to quote part of the text you can delete the rest
