can anyone tell me if you can joint heating mats together to make it longer or have you got to get one the right size?.

Dont think you can join them but you can usually install them in parallel back to the control. Best check with the manufacturer.

well you just have a number of mats to make up the area you want to cover, as said they are all in parallel anyway
