Hi all - after some advice please, I currently have a 2 gang dimmer, 1 gang running an outdoor led light and gang 2 running 14 led downlights. I want to upgrade to a 3 gang dimmer so that I can control an additional 2- 4 led wall lights with gang 3. My challenge is that I don’t understand the existing lighting… gang 1 has a pair of 2 cables (1 red common & 1 black neutral L1) where as gang 2 has (1 red common on its own) plus a pair of 1 black neutral L1 & red for L2. The earth seems to have been cut short but I expect this should be connected to the back box.

There is a second traditional switch that controls the leds on gang 2 so I assume L2 is going to this second switch.

The question is what do I need to do for gang 3 on the new dimmer to control an additional 2-4 wall lights please?

Many thanks for taking the time to read.

Lee
