Hello all,

I have just spent about an hour drawing a diagram in word (using shapes/boxes/lines etc) and I cant work out how to put it into a thread. Any suggestions? When I press upload it just comes up with "Doc1.docx:Invalid file".

It wont actually look like it took an hour! Usually I just draw them and scan on but I fancied having a go :smile5:

convert it to a PDF

I think you can attach .doc which is an older version of docx. You should be able to open the word document and save as and under 'file type' select Word 97-2003 document (*.doc). Otherwise as Lee says convert to pdf which can then also be attached.

If you have the graphic in word and you have powerpoint available copy the graphic (use Crtl +A to select everything on the page) and paste it into a blank slide in power point, you can then save the power point presentation as a .jpg file under save as.

Alternatively get word maximised, zoom in as far as possible on the view to have the picture as large as you can and then pres Ctrl+"print screen" and then you will have the screen on the clipboard that can be pasted into a picture editor and the outside edges cropped.

Thanks everyone,

I tried Marvo's suggestion first and it worked!

Not sure why I put these diagrams up though as it just shows my ignorance!

Well come on Steve lets see them. lol

Already posted Dave (and shot down in flames.. deservedly so ) in general forum ('Does this system look ok'). I just cant get my head around creating a source earth that would be effective!!
