Hi,
We have been using the AmTech software for a number of years now but as we aremainly BMS/controls engineers we don’t often get involved in the testing &certification of installations so are still running the 2008 version - hardlyseems worth paying all that money to update & having premier care etc.

Anyhow, enough of the waffle. I have been trying to validate a certificate& it keeps failing on two points on Pg 3. i) Limitation of discharge energy- Essential Information, & ii) ADS including: Presence of RCD(s) -Essential Information.
I cannot fathom it out as we have stated that there are no RCD's present in theinstallation & the Discharge energy one is as baffling. I have tried tochange various tick boxes on Pg 3 in order to 'catch it out' or at least findout which bit of information is interfering with the result/validation butnothing has changed its status.

Does anyone have any information/help regarding the validation of this testcert or what/where possibly could be the problem?

I thank you in advance for any assistance offered,

Regards,
Clayton

My eyes, my eyes..... i use Amtech but dont use the validation, i have noticed it through up some weird stuff if you do use it but have never reported it to Amtech as i dont really take any notice of it.

I only really use it for presentation and storage of certs, next time i put one in i will let you know what it throws up. I do read them before sending them out.

I am probably not using the system correctly but the validation on the last one i did failed on every line but one because i did not put RCD times in and every line for R2. As there was only one RCD on a 36way board and i used the r1=r2 colomn it is rather annoying especially since i have put in the correct code for MCB/RCBO.
cheers

Discharge of energy, this is an electric fence normally the first box on the tick box page 3. in 2008 put in n/a same goes for the RCD put n/a in the box, note as you click on the box it goes from tick to lim to n/a, also always save a copy so if you master the cert that can't be altered you have you copy that can be altered. On the main cert there's a function that allows you to put n/a in all the boxes not used
