Customer has asked if it can be done, he wants washing machine and dryer to go in old airing cupboard in his bathroom as kitchen is tiny.
it has slpit load box and as he wants spotlights as well, so they will be going on rcbo so all circuits will be rcd protected.

Is this possible ?

im not to sure on this

im sure regs say if bathroom is big enoug you can have sockets in there im sure they have to be 3m away from all zones though

correct me if im wrong

when we had the 16th reg i was asked just this an i asked for advice fom the nic and the reply was thus

as long as they are permanantly conected out side the room and supplimentry bonded fine

so as we can now have skts in bath rm (if big enougth)i would say fine

Mmmmmmmm
Bathroom isn't big enough for the 3m rule but they will be in airing cupboard, where insidently the controlls boost etc for the old immersion are.

No problem, if a door...assuming away from bath / basin taps etc. Just do it, use rcbo/rcd no problem................expect if council inspected, tell them to prove it is not within regs, they will always argue. If they don't agree take them to court. Simple. Some councils are ok some are crazy, most council sparks are complete idiots, I am mighty than you attitude...call their bluff
