i just discovered wasps in my cavity above door frame and air vent area..!!

bit of silicone should do trick for the summer!! :D

i do like the blow torch method! shame i might burn house down though

Wasp spray works really well.

I discovered a huge nest in my loft a few months back when I decided to board it for extra storage space.

Kain a load of it all over the nest, wait an hour and then kain off a load more.

Will kill most of them and then get the council in to remove the nest.

Job done!

LOL at Lenny's blowtorch, just the tool for the job ! Hate the little bleeders, its worse early on in the summer when there coming out of hibernation, always when your half way through a joint box as well one'll come mythering round your lead lamp. I've cotemplated a bit of " top bombing" through the plasterboard a few times.:D

that not a bad idea, having all the fun destroying a colony and then the council doing the hard work of collecting and disposing of it.

I have also found that as wasps are attracted to light they love nothing more than getting inside downlight fittings, frying themselves to death and then as the death toll rises causing the lights output to become very minimal.

Regardless of whether insulation is going over the top of the fittings or not you can keep the little sods out by putting fire hoods over the fittings.
