Well I never thought I would be back in the land of the sands but here i'am again. What is it about old sparks never die.

This is what happens when you let a digger driver loose near a sub station. He decides to go through a 240mm Aluminium concentric cable and take out half a dozen workshops .

Don't you just love this game
 
Thank Richard, unfortunately out here you have to improvise as you don't always get what you want/need. We had to you a through crimp. I go a 50mm and 35mm ones and what we did was crimp and re crimp and re crimp again until we got it pretty much to what I wanted.

Put a 1000v through her and got >999 on all 3 phases and the neutral concentric so pretty happy with that. Let us put it this way it's nigh enough for the pit
 
Yep, we don't all have wholesalers a couple of miles away, there's many occasions we also have to make do with what's available. I'd class that as a good running repair, if it tested fine there's no reason it shouldn't last decades as long as you leave it exposed so the digger driver doesn't hit it again ;).
