What calibration checker is everyone using ?

Just thought id ask who uses what and how much and where from !
have heard about the calcard and cal box any good ?

Hi, I have a Seaward Checkbox 16. Simple to use and gives the following tests;

Continuity Resistance
Insulation Resistance
Voltage
Phase Loop Resistance
RCD test

NICEIC will allow you to use this, as long as your meter tests ok then there is no need for an expensive
annual instrument calibration.

Why not just draw up a log and use a dedicated, labeled socket in your own house?

Thats what the NIC suggest dont they?

just had my second year elecsa assessment
the assessor said the calcard is no good as it cant check the rcd tester
and for check boxes he says you'd need a calibration cert for the check box which defeats the object unless your calibrating a lot of instruments
