Whats the best voltage to get for commercial electrician? Is there much difference between the 10.8V and the 18V makita range? Would I be missing out if I got the 10.8V

make sure to get one with a 13mm chuck or you cant use a lot of holesaws

i think a 10.8 would be better for 2" holesaws etc or larger drillbits/in masonary

14.4v panasonic or 18v and 36v bosch will see you through most electrical work

I use the makita lxt range 18v 3.0ah fantastic gear. Bought the makita multicutter last week takes the same batteries as the rest it's brilliant! Don't think ill stray away from makita now I've found it!

Another vote for the makita 18v lxt, one of my favourite bits of kit, loads of grunt and batteries go for ages

Makita for me too....batteries are great and the vast range of bodies they make such as cordless grinder, impact driver, circular saw, sds etc etc also have the 10.8v makita which is really useful as others have said for working at height and fits in your pocket easily
