Quoted this job Friday for a board change, customer has shown me the work completed by the last electrican.

He has used 10mm clips for the 2.5tne that comes direct from the sockets.

just goes to show. done on the cheap by a Electrical Trainee desperate to get his £6000 back.

Wow, there is no IP on that junction box at all. Wonder if the board has any RCD protection as it would have picked it up by now. Especially after the rain from Hurricane GErt on the weekend
BAD

Kin abortion if this pillock is charging and belongs to a scam he wants a chemical lobotomy, on second thoughts looks like he has had one. a terrible job, wants taken to task, words fail me.

me gutted. bottle Famous Grouse been on offer at local for £12.49. now gone back to £15.99. :(

The board is supplied via RCD main switch which currently hasn't tripped. However it has been installed since mid 80's and has not been tested.

This guy is a member of a scheme, he apparently also has a sign written van advertising his skills.

advertising what???? get round there and rip him a new one.

He aint got any skills, what ever scam he belongs to, need to be informed of this holocaust of a job, people may mock the reporting bit, but these types are giving hard working decent Electricians a bad name.
Not ever had the need to belong to a scheme, what happens when you report some one like this? nothing by the sounds of it, and why is that? Money is the answer, do a 5 week course, get someone decent to install a couple of jobs, get them inspected by which ever scam you are applying to, once registered do what you want, until the next review, it's bloody scandalous, why doesn't someone do something? you all know it's a farce, can't something be done, all those poor householders getting ripped off by nothing more than some dipstick who thinks he/she is an Electrician.:mad::mad::mad: Yes I'm angry bloody angry in fact.

He certainly needs a quite word behind closed/soundproof doors, with a clean up team to follow.
