  1. Hi, I have completed a, Level 3 NVQ diploma in electrotechnical systems and equipment [2357-13] now I’m looking to apply for my ECS, I’ve put in Installation electrician for my main occupation and approved electrician in grade, I’ve uploaded my certificates but it’s asking for 2391 test and inspect I’ve complete AM2 too just unsure if it includes it?
  2. I’ve never needed an ECS card before but I’m looking at changing jobs which most if not all sites one will be needed

I wouldn't be too concerned about what is on the card to get onto a building site. Most site managers do not know the difference between them and the qualifications listed on it. Your employer/supervisor should be making sure that you are competent and qualified to undertake the work.

You will get a installation gold card, at electrician grade. Only with 2391 will you get approved, you also have to have gold card for 2 years. If you want to sub contract, and work on the commercial/ industrial site a gold card does matter, and is required nowadays.
