Now thats not a nice thought....

Ah well, come 2016 and Sturgeon says you'll have another referendum - which I think is distinctly odd seeing as the oil tax revenue has dropped so much, along with exports of Whisky - does she need new batteries in her VIBRATOR OR has she borrowed one from Ed Balls?
Changed that for you

You, now, are having a laugh. I have an interest in Spain and keep abreast of Spanish issues that could affect me. Now for me to think that I have some mysterious "better" idea of what is going on in Spain, than, say, a local business man in Barcelona (maybe even an electrician) is naïve at best.

you may not support a party, you don't need to, but you are a one dimensional socialist trying to sound cleverer than you are (on this subject) .lol

Politics aside the point about being able to be objective when you are on the outside looking in is a valid one.

It's a similar principle to arbitration.

A third party not emotionally involved can be objective and see what the emotionally involved parties cannot see.

Then you would be wrong, You probably have a much better idea what's going on in Spain and why, than your example of a Spanish electrician!! He isn't being given actual reasons, he just has to deal with the situation he finds himself in and probably blaming the government presently in office for all his woes...

I'm neither a Socialist nor Conservative, and if i'm anything i'm omni dimensional, but i keep abreast of many things that are going on in the UK. There's an old saying about the cultivation mushrooms, heed it!! lol!!

A perfect example of YOU not being able to see the wood for the tree's....You see and believe what suits your beliefs and skim over the bigger overall picture!! Oh and i'm the last one here that believes everything that's been put in print, in fact the very opposite is generally the case. ''Living with it'' as you put it, is the reason why you have a distorted view, (think about it) you have a far better overall perspective on the why's and how's when on the outside looking in... Oh and as i have stated many times here i'm no die hard for any UK political party, they all have their faults and assets. It's a shame that none ever seem to put the country first, instead it's the party and their friends that tend to be the first priority!!

So I'm exactly the same as you as you present no balanced opinion other than that of a die hard Labourite

Who are you to tell me I have a distorted view being that you are few thousand miles away from the UK means you have to some extent rely on the printed word even if it is only published on the web. I have seen first hand the political posturing and promises in some of the areas I have worked I have seen money wasted by most political parties and plenty of hollow promises made in the past I've been paid for carrying out feasability studies on a number of broadband projects in remote areas and that is as far as they went made me laugh when one of the potential projects I worked on over 10 years ago re-emerged as a new promise to the local electorate to get them connected to high speed broadband

Even the socialists are in that group

I always find it highly amusing reading of the die hard Tory supporters that have nothing to conserve but somehow believe they have to support them, and come out with the most bizarre rhetoric and blaming just about everyone and their dog in order to substantiate their ill founded stands!!

So whose posts would they be then as I've certainly not voted Conservative in the last 35 years in recent years I have attended the meetings of a few of the minority parties and have made donations to some of them and I think it would shake up the establishment if they could get some MP's

Well said

Politics aside the point about being able to be objective when you are on the outside looking in is a valid one.

In some cases it can seen it happen many times when faultfinding

In what way ? - To me its an even narrower viewpoint, there is no illumination when you live or work overseas looking back at the UK, I know I have done it.

So have I many of the smaller happenings are never reported or minuted and are lost in the bigger picture

It's a similar principle to arbitration.

A third party not emotionally involved can be objective and see what the emotionally involved parties cannot see.

With arbitration both sides present their case or viewpoint it is for a judge to make a decision and find in favour of one side or the other or neither

Being a continent away severly limits any objective comment that at some point still harps on about what happened 25 - 35 years ago

So the poll now has 50 votes - OK not an ideal sample number and

50% of them are for UKIP,
18% are for the Conservatives
12% are for Labour

20% the rest

Wow, now I wonder where the 50% would be voting if UKIP weren't around! Not all Conservative thats for sure.

Must say something about electricians,
National polls have both Labour & Conservatives around 33% with UKIP around 14% and falling.

Yes but if you believe the left leaning on here only the "loony" right would be mad enough to vote UKIP!

That's not me Murdoch, I believe that you only need the prefix loony to vote UKIP, left right or center ground.

Also, can someone tell me what a 'one dimensional socialist' is? I'm trying to decide if I'm one.

Anyone that comes out with the same old Tory rhetoric that bares no resemblance to actuality....

Anyone that thinks the far right UKIP party has the answers, better wake up, ....and FAST!!

Well according to the media and polling bodies anyway....

What makes me laugh about the media and establishment in this country, is that they go mad about stories that they think will make the public turn against UKIP, but in turn just push more people to UKIP.

As for the whole national pole issue, UKIP are fielding a lot less candidates than the two main parties, and many who would vote UKIP, can't because they don't have a candidate, so that vote will then have to go elsewhere.

ukip may not have all the answers, but by, eck. they're rocking the boat. whether or not you agree with their policies, at least they speak out for what the average brit wants: and that is to dump the brussels/EU leech.

There you go again with your assumptions and same old out of touch rhetoric

Nothing in that post has any rhetoric, old or new on my part!!

As for UKIP, we'll just have to wait and see how many silly buggers actually vote for them!!

i'm a silly bugger, then. who cares? :49:

You bang the drum of not believing what you read and the more you post on this subject the less believeable you are. Your politics has no omni dimension to it looking from a far which according to you gives me a far better picture

I mentioned minority parties and you keep banging on solely about UKIP and resort to down crying any one who votes for them just shows how narrow a view you have.

To quote Gordon Brown - he's just a left wing biggot
