Work cancelled short notice!

Had a call this morning informing me that the work that I was supposed to be doing on Friday 3/10 has been postponed. This is the second time in a few weeks this has happened, last time was a weeks worth of nights; getting a bit peed off! Result being I'm at a loose end this Friday (having already been at a loose end yesterday!). If anyone within reasonable driving distance of Portsmouth needs a hand on Friday, please get in touch. I'd rather do something than nothing, quite happy to labour if necessary.

Sadly this is the nature of the game and its always good to get some kind of long term flexible work on board like maintenance etc that can give you some kind of fall back, Im industrial and rely on many variable factors to ensure a job goes smoothly but it rarely does and when Im at a loose end I have long term flexible work to fall back on.

Ive just had a job knocked back till the end of October (!!) Its annoying as hell, but its the nature of the job, and although i view agency's with utter f**king contempt, they are actually useful if you need the odd week (or at most 2) here and there.

As it happened, all worked out ok. Had a call from a recruitment agency out of the blue, had an interview on Friday!
