As above anyone have any experience with blade runners?
My new role involves lots of SWA's and although ime pretty good with the old junior ime thinking if this thing works well it may make my life a little quicker and easier.
Also at £25 its more of a viable option than the SACS tool which at £90 just seems stupidly over priced!

get the CK armour slice. good tool. around £30 - £35.

i have one, and so has nickblake. we both like them.

The blade runner is good when it works, and really annoying when it doesn't.

If there is any tension on the sheath or the cable is not dead straight the sheath tends to wander a bit as you rotate the tool and it can start spiralling along the cable, not good!

I think the CK offering will be a bit better looking at it, I might get one and see how it goes.

yep im with tel used mine loads takes a bit of getting used to but i have to admit i like it used it quite a few times now

Thanks for the input guys.
I wouldn't be using it all the time just on the more awkward ones when ime up in the lifter or other confined spaces.

get it right to start with and then you just turn about 15 times. it has an arrow showing the direction to turn. after practising about 3 times, it's easy, and there's no strands left underscored that you have to snip when you miss 1 or 2 with hacksaw.

does anyone score missed ones with a hacksaw free hand or is it just me?

next time ive got a lot of swa to do ill buy one

I always seem to miss 1 strand!
Dont know how tbh but always 1!
Only on the small ones though, the bigger they are the easier they are to make off i think.

I've been using the bladerunner for a few years found it quite handy, the new CK one looks better made so will have to get my boss to invest in one!.
