    Megger 1553 help

    replaced my battered 1552 with a 1553 and have noticed that when carrying out a continuity test , with leads open >999 with leads joined get a valid reading, when breaking leads open again the reading stays and wont return to >999 and this i find very annoying? any ideas anyone? the lock...

    bloody door bell

    hi every one new build we done about 6 months ago, had a call to say that the door bell does ding but doesnt dong.... called in today, the chime is 8 - 16v got a 8v tranny which actually gives 10.5v. when push button is pressed the voltage drops to 7.9v but the ding just doesnt sound right...

    inter connected smoke alarms

    hi guys, can some one tell me that if you push the test button on smoke alarms, are all the inter connected alarms meant to sound too. when i tried it today only the smoke alarm that i pressed sounded. all the alarms are inter connected.

    Contactum RCBO won't trip during test

    Hi again, just considering whether I'm going crazy or I've got a duff RCBO. Perhaps someone will help me see the light either way. Quite prepared for the former! Installed it yesterday and when I got to doing the certificate I couldn't get it to trip. It's one of the ones with no earth wire...

MEM split board and had no tools so i got on chair pressed trip button and no trip, told her trip was probably faulty and would replace.     megger1552 problem

    Just bought a second hand megger 1552, cannot get any insulation resistance readings, display showing flashing warning sign which according to the user guide indicates the lock is on, how do you turn it off. I cannot find anything in the manual to say how to turn it off. Any help appreciated.
