replaced my battered 1552 with a 1553 and have noticed that when carrying out a continuity test ,

with leads joined get a valid reading,
when breaking leads open again the reading stays and wont return to >999 and this i find very annoying? any ideas anyone?

30mA RCD trips out at 51.8mSec on 1 times test & 38.7 on 5x Test values seem high to me - Domestic installation. Repeated the test 3 times just to make sure. RCD probably 11 years old and, of course, never had the...

And how long should...

:)Guys, a bit of advice please
I have the FLUKE 1507 insulation tester, and has a button on saying PI / DAR.. Does anyone know what this is for, as it does a constant Insulation Test over a period of 10 minutes, and was curious to what it can be used for.
Thanks
Just bought a second hand megger 1552, cannot get any insulation resistance readings, display showing flashing warning sign which according to the user guide indicates the lock is on, how do you turn it off. I cannot find anything in the manual to say how to turn it off. Any help appreciated.
