    S/S chimney extractor.

    Got a friend who's cooker hood has packed up......GU10 lamps in it and it's clear one has gone with the usual explosion and taken out the plug fuse,which I suspect is located behind the chimney section.....(took out the 32a ring MCB as well-(bloody GU10's!)     Socket in chimney for fireplace?

    Thinking if i can break into the ring then ill do that, but if i cant, then will add a spur. With it being inside the chimney breast and will be hidden, is clipped direct OK? Would the cable be subjected to excessive heat? Also is it notifiable? Fire place is in a dining room. Thanks

    Range Cooker, vent into chimney - possible? Hmmmm

    Hi I have been asked to vent a range cooker into the old chimney - there is an old silver flue in there. I am concerned that (a) The fan will not have enough power (not three story). (b) There may be issues with moisture. Has anyone done this before? :confused: Thanks in advance Regards, David
